Meet the owner

Thurton Nursery had always been a dream of mine! My grandfather, Raymond Blouet who is now 90 was once the Head Teacher of Thurton School which was based in the Old Victorian Building we now call home.

In June 2023 I purchased Thurton Nursery, previously known as The Tiffin Day Nursery and Preschool with a view to providing exceptional childcare in a nurturing and home-from-home environment. Fast forward to August 2024 and we have grown from 5 children to 60.

Throughout my career I have always been passionate about the Early Years Sector and am currently extending my knowledge by training to become an Early Years Teacher through Best Practice Network.

We are on a mission to rebuild our place in the community and are excited about the opportunities we can create for the small people in our care.   

I am currently the settings Safeguarding Lead Practitioner and hold a current Paediatric First Aid.
