Our Nursery
We are committed to developing strong partnerships with our parents to ensure the needs of every child in our care is met.
Baby Room
For our youngest children, our Baby Room provides a home-from-home environment for 11 babies aged from birth to 2 years. By following their individual interests, we provide our babies with the opportunities to grow and learn in an environment enriched with natural resources, messy play and sensory opportunities.
Preschool Room
Our Preschool Room is home to 18 children from 2 years to 5 years and reinforces our ethos of providing a home-from-home environment enriched with natural resources. Our enabling environment provides our Preschoolers with the opportunities to develop independence, confidence and creativity whilst also accessing all areas of the EYFS.
Garden
We are very fortunate to have a wonderful and spacious outdoor area enhanced with mud kitchens, a designated baby area and summer house to further extend our children's opportunities. We pride ourselves on ensuring our children spend as much time outside as possible, no matter the weather! We also like to ensure we are building strong connections with the local community by visiting the park, woodland area and the local Primary School.
Children first.
Here at Thurton Nursery it is important to us to provide children with all the vital nutrients to enable them to grow, develop and be curious! Our food is sourced as locally as possible and is prepared onsite by our wonderful cook, Nikki.
